Located at 454 13th street on a 4,218 sq. ft. lot in the heart of the East Village. Ezabelle is a medium density mixed use apartment building with a commercial space in a restored historic house on the ground floor.
This mixed-use building features 45 modern micro-apartment units with open-concept living areas and modern interior living spaces. The new wave modern style is inspired by mid-century aesthetic and will serve to complement the existing surrounding architecture. While the site area is full of higher density developments, Ezabelle will serve a more private and comfortable urban lifestyle. A courtyard entry feature was designed to maximize the natural light that goes into the units. Presented with the option to restore a historic house, and just like several other NDD projects, it was decided that the historic house will remain on site as part of the development. Ezabelle presents itself as a way to preserve the history of San Diego's past architectural styles, while also providing the much needed modern designs for housing in East Village.
In order to achieve NDD’s sustainability principles, the use of passive design methods will be employed to maximize natural light & ventilation throughout the units. All units feature open floor plans with access to a rooftop outdoor patio with panoramic downtown views for all residents to enjoy.
