Soheil Nakhshab

My father, Sasan, was one of the biggest builders in Iran. He left to start new in America, and began his career as a structural engineer for the city. He worked hard and I watched his attention to detail, his passion, and positive outlook. It spread to me, and I started designing houses when I was six. Of course, they were Lego, but that early inspiration and childlike wonderment still exists in the work we create for our clients.

Family Business

Designing for community and multi-generational living is at the heart of what we do, and our approach was recently recognized by San Diego Magazine. Together with my brother, Nima, our construction manager, we design and build collaboratively with a shared design sense and meticulous attention to detail. My father, with his infinite experience is our general manager and guiding light, and my mother helps with the artistry of the business.

Challenge Us

We love a challenge, and will build on sites most San Diego architects are afraid to develop. Have a lot you’ve been told is unbuildable? Then let’s talk. Bring us the worst, and we’ll bring you our best.

Philosophy

We have been around since 2003, and have received international recognition for our design/build approach. Our philosophy is simple: we harvest the energy of the surroundings and our clients, and together work to build a home that is beautiful, welcoming, sustainable and unique. We design to bring people of all generations together, both in location and spirit, yet also allow a floor plan for privacy, when those moments are needed.

Real Life

Our work has been recognized by Dwell, California Home & Design, Houzz, San Diego Magazine, and many other architectural publications. But that is simply a byproduct of our work. We build not for show, but for life. Real life with real people of all generations coming and going, living, laughing, and growing together. And we’d love to do the same with your project.
